Academy - Atlanta's oldest and the continental US's largest
independent PreK-12 school was founded in 1900 as Georgia
Military Academy,
a military boarding school for boys.
In 1964, the school became co-educational and in 1966, changed
its name to Woodward Academy and eliminated the

discontinued in 1993. Since its founding, Woodward
